Reviews and Ratings
I had a great time at the hotel, with comfy rooms offering spectacular views of the lake. However, despite turning up the heat, my room never got warm all evening and night. The location was exceptional, providing great views and a perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. On the downside, it was a bit too near the bus area.
The hotel is in a stunning natural setting with easy access to the region's attractions. The rooms are simple but adequately freshened up by the housekeeping staff. The dining experience offers a good buffet selection but has some room for improvement. Service is efficient and offers helpful amenities like car hire and tours. The remote location ensures a peaceful stay, but arriving before the restaurant closes is essential.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable, there was a lack of attention to details like bed and soap replenishment. The dining options were subpar, especially for those wanting a late-night snack, but the location was great for exploring the area.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant one overall. The rooms were a bit smaller than we're used to, but we managed to get a good view of the Mývatn area depending on the room location. The service was quite good, although we had to switch rooms last minute due to changes on our end. The location was convenient for our winter trip to see the northern lights, and the dining options were excellent with a variety of choices for breakfast.
The hotel offers large, clean, and warm rooms, resembling a hospital room, making for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Myvatn area, with stunning sunset views and easy access to tourist attractions, although the dining options could be improved.
