Hotel Laxa Myvatn, Myvatn

I had a great time at the hotel, with comfy rooms offering spectacular views of the lake. However, despite turning up the heat, my room never got warm all evening and night. The location was exceptional, providing great views and a perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. On the downside, it was a bit too near the bus area.

The hotel is in a stunning natural setting with easy access to the region's attractions. The rooms are simple but adequately freshened up by the housekeeping staff. The dining experience offers a good buffet selection but has some room for improvement. Service is efficient and offers helpful amenities like car hire and tours. The remote location ensures a peaceful stay, but arriving before the restaurant closes is essential.
